First Broad Street United Methodist Church will have a Festival of Flowers in celebration of Kingsport&rsquo s Centennial. The Theme of the Festival is &ldquo Faith of Our Founders&rdquo with &ldquo Church and Community&rdquo in the Chapel and &ldquo Women of the Bible&rdquo in the Sanctuary. The Festival Schedule is as follows: --May 18, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with an Evensong service at 7:00 p.m. --May 19, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. --Two workshops are scheduled on May 19. 1. Charles Phillips will present &ldquo Creating Magical Tablescapes: How to Make Your Table a Memorable Work of Art&rdquo from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Cost: $25. Reservations are required by calling 224-1502. A special boxed lunch designed by Chris Taylor will be available for $10. Reservations required by calling 224-1502. 2. Make and Take Event: &ldquo Home Is Where Your Story Begins,&rdquo where basic flower arranging techniques will be introduced and creative approaches will be encouraged. Each participant will make an arrangement to take home. This session will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the cost is $35. Reservations required by calling 224-1502. --May 20, 9:00 a.m. to noon. The Festival of Flowers is open and free to the public. Donations accepted. Please call the reservation line (224-1502) to make reservations for workshops or lunch.

5. Hunter Pace And Poker Ride 1
Saturday, May 20th, 2017
@Magna Vista Farm
Bristol, TN
May 20 starting at 9:00. This pace will be a little different! The first division is field hunter. This will be the faster paced time and will cover the entire 6-8 mile course. Pace yourself to hit the target time and win a prize! The second division will be the poker ride. This will not be timed. There will be cards at various obstacles along the full 6-8 mile course. Go through the obstacle, take an envelope, and then turn in your hand at the end of the ride for a shot at the cash pot! The third division will be a trail rider division. This course will be a slow ride through the fields only, no woods riding, only about 3-4 miles total. Pace yourself to hit the target time and win a prize! The entry for all divisions is $30 and includes lunch, ribbons, and prizes. Registration starts at 8:30, first rider out at 9:00, last rider out at 10:30. Rain date will be Sunday.
