Chef James will demonstrate preparation of several gourmet dishes that utilize Olive Oil Divine products and can be easily made by you at home! Chef James will take us Around the world in about an hour while showcasing different dishes from culinary hotspots across the globe! 1 st stop: South America - Argentinian Steak Tacos with Chimichurra using Olive Oil Divine Chipotle EVOO & Olive Oil Divine Jalape o Lime Balsamic. 2 nd stop: Asia - Soy Braised Short Rib with Scallion Fried Rice using Olive Oil Divine Lemongrass Balsamic & Olive Oil Divine Blood Orange EVOO. 3 rd stop: Europe - Wild Mushroom and Goat Cheese Strudel using Olive Oil Divine Balsamic Reduction, Olive Oil Divine Leek EVOO & Olive Oil Divine 25-Year Aged Balsamic. 4 th stop: The Good ole USA - Cherry Chess Pie with Balsamic Infused Whipped Cream using Olive Oil Divine Vanilla EVOO into crust & Olive Oil Divine Pomegranate Balsamic. Executive Chef James Allen graduated top of his class from Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis, Minnesota and continued his training at a Top 100 restaurant in Cashel, Ireland. While in Ireland he learned the importance of supporting local farmers and the impact it has on his menu. While he was the Sous Chef at Restaurant G in Birmingham, AL Bo Jackson, Charles Barkley and L.L. Cool J requested James cook for them on a regular basis. After serving as the Executive Chef of Tupelo Country Club, he moved to Johnson City six years ago to become the Executive Chef of Blackthorn Club at The Ridges. Since that time, Chef James has achieved the designation of Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation making him the only C.E.C. in the Tri-Cities area. Sample any or all of Olive Oil Divine olive oils & balsamic vinegars during this private event and make it a fun night out! All participants will go home with a sample of some of our product as well as the recipes for the evening. Brown bagging is allowed. We do not charge a corking fee, and we provide wine cups for your use. Filtered ice water will be provided. Space is limited. Cost is $35.00 per person.
