2. Summers Past History Program

Johnson City, TN
Participants ages 6-14 learn about their local history through historic-based crafts, games, music, storytelling, and trips on the nature & the cave. First week-Native American History Second Week-Revolutionary History, Third Week-Civil War History. Each week is $100 for non-members and $90 for members. Sessions run 9am-2pm, Monday through Friday. Aftercare available. Applications available in spring and can be found on our website or at the site.

Beginning in May 2017, tnAchieves will host a series of community meetings in each of the 84 Tennessee counties it serves. Sullivan County& 39 s will take place Thursday, June 8 at 9 a.m. at the Kingsport Center for Higher Education. The purpose of these meetings is to provide you with updates on tnAchieves&rsquo progress throughout the state. This will also be an opportunity for you to have any of your questions answered. Please join tnAchieves Executive Director Krissy DeAlejandro to learn about the impact of Governor Haslam&rsquo s Tennessee Promise scholarship in your community! Register at least two weeks in advance of your preferred meeting time and location. If you plan to invite friends, please encourage them to register as well, as space could be limited.
