This Intro to WingTsun class is specifically for new students and will focus on the first form, Siu Nim Tau, and its applications. Wing Tsun is an ancient Chinese system of self-defense in its most uncompromising form. This martial art was created by the Abbess of the Henan Shaolin Monastery, Ng Mui, for another woman, Yim Wing Chun, approximately 300 years ago, and it is named after her first student. Muscle power and physical conditioning are NOT prerequisites for training as Wing Tsun skills are built on the students present abilities. WingTsun students command a highly effective, weaponless method of defending themselves as they learn to absorb an attacker s energy, compound it with their own power, and direct it back against the attacker. WingTsun KungFu is beneficial for: Relieving Stress Increasing muscle tone Learning relaxation Learning the art of self-defense Come learn WingTsun KungFu the martial art that is practiced by over 2 million people worldwide! Ring in 2017 in style with the Capitol Theatre of Greeneville. The Capitol Theatre will feature three bands, beginning at 8 p.m. The Threetles, a local Beatles tribute band, will open the show. Following The Threetles, the Capitol stage will feature The Comet Conductors, a rock band from Kingsport, at 9:15 p.m. The Billy Crawford Band, a blues rock band from Bristol, will perform at 10:30. Your choices for seating and cost: Option 1: general admission ticket for seating on the first floor stage level. Cost for these seats is $15 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under. Option 2: a general admission ticket for VIP seating in the balcony at a cost of $25. This ticket will include heavy hors d oeuvres and two drink tickets as part of the package for the night.
