ANNOUNCING AUDTIONS FOR SEE HOW THEY RUN! Auditions will be held for SEE HOW THEY RUN (directed by Scott Elliott), a hilarious British farce, on Sunday, February 19 and Monday, February 20 at 7pm on both nights. These are open auditions for male and female actors, ages 18 and up. There are no roles for minors in the show, however 16-17 year olds who look, or can look older, are welcome to audition. This British farce will run May 11-20, for two weekends (7 shows). See How They Run is set in the idyllic village of Merton-cum-Middlewick, England during the 1940s. It s World War II,and the village inhabitants are preparing themselves for the imminent threat of Nazi invasion. Meanwhile, resident spinster, Miss Skillon, becomes convinced that her beloved vicar s actress wife is having an affair and attempts to expose her. Add an escaped German prisoner of war, a handsome actor, the visiting Bishop of Lax, a rotund locum priest and some meddling neighbors and hilarious confusion and mayhem result. Cast: IDA - a maid, aloof (Cockney Accent) MISS SKILLON - nosey neighbot (British Accent) THE REVEREND LIONEL TOOP - The vicar (British Accent) PENELOPE TOOP - Reverend Toop s wife (American) - The Lead CORPORAL CLIVE WINTON (American) - The Lead THE INTRUDER - Escaped Prisoner (Russian Dialect) THE BISHOP OF LAX - Well to do leader (British Accent) THE REVEREND ARTHUR HUMPHREY - Another Vicar (British Accent) SERGEANT TOWERS (British or Cockney Accent) WHAT TO PREPARE: Prepare a comedic monologue of your choosing. This should be no more than 2 minutes in length. Visit www.jcct.info and go to forms and print the audition form. If you can t there will be audition forms on hand at auditions. Please come early. AT THE AUDITION: Prepared monologues will be performed first. We will also be reading several scenes from the script. Please be somewhat familiar with the characters in the play, as this will help your performance and audition. If you have questions, please ask.

A Two Act Ballet Performance: Seeds of Change is made up of contemporary choreography exploring themes relevant to 1917, the year of Kingsport s founding. This act will explore some of the realities of that time in history, through a warm story set in the East Tennessee meadows that become an industrial city. Les Sylphides is a short romantic ballet. Beautiful nymphs in long white romantic tutus alongside their poet, dance to the enchanting sounds of Chopin amidst a tree-shaded glen. This ballet was created simply for the sake of beauty in the early twentieth century as a form of escapism during troubling times.
