We will be hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise funds for the summer I.A. camps. Pick up or eat in options available from our Emporium, 146 Broad Street. Cost is $10pp. The Patriotic Tribute will be performed at the theatre at 7:00pm. Make it a nice night out come eat and support a worthy cause and enjoy a wonderful show! We also need donations of homemade desserts for this evening. Thanks so much!

If You Like: Mipso, Lake Street Dive, Mandolin Orange FREE Show! In 2009 The Flatbellys recorded Get Round in a house on Foster Ave in Lansing, MI. Flatbelly mandolinist, Josh and Spencer, Flatbelly bassist, joined a local bluegrass band, and I left the country for my last semester of college. When I returned I had an album s worth of material and convinced the two remaining Flatbellys, and a handful of other Michigan musicians, to help me record it. We called it Lindsay Lou - A Different Tune. Special Guest: Jenni Lyn Over Gardner s time as a solo artist and as a member of several collaborative projects (including the all female bluegrass band Della Mae) she racked up a number of prestigious awards including: IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year (Della Mae), IBMA Recorded Event of the Year (The Daughters of Bluegrass) and a coveted GRAMMY nomination for Best Bluegrass Album (Della Mae). This concert is part of the 5th annual Thursday Jams series, presented by Blue Ridge Beverage. Music will begin 7:00 pm each Thursday at the Abingdon Market Pavilion, with a beer garden benefitting Abingdon Main Street opening at 6:30 pm. A variety of food truck and local vendors will be on hand offering concessions. The events are free, family-friendly, and attendees are encouraged to bring their chairs and or blankets to enjoy the shows. No outside alcohol is allowed. New to ArtCurious for the Summer... Single clay classes just to let you play in clay. Low commitment. Take one class. Make a cool piece of pottery. Love it. Repeat. OR just pick a project and participate in that class! Starting with a juice cup the first week, then a ice cream snack bowl the next week, then a breakfast plate the next week, then a mini-planter. Then we start the cycle again. Make one for yourself, make another for a friend. June 27 s project is a breakfast plate. $40 per class includes instruction, supplies and 1 finished pottery piece. A Engagement Post to potentially amplify the reach of your posts on Facebook and on Instagram. Finally another ad that could help increase traffic to their website using a Call-to-Action button. These ads require a commitment to spend $5 day minimum for each ad from Facebook to go live. We will walk through each of the campaigns up until purchase. Attendees will decide if they wish to promote the ads created in the workshop. It s important to have visuals and content ready to use if creating the ad within the workshop. You don t have to be a paleontologist to find fossils. Identifying them is a different story. Gray Fossil Site & Museum wants to assist the public in identifying their own finds by hosting Fossil Identification Night on Tuesday, June 27, from 4-6 p.m. Bring any kind of rock, fossil, artifact, or mineral to the event, and scientistst at the museum will provide space for the study of these finds. There will be an archarologist, paleontologist, and geologist on site. Fossil ID Night is free and open to the public but does not include admission to exhibits. The museum is open 9 a.m. 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. It is located 1.8 miles off Exit 13 on Interstate 26.
