July 18-21 Christmas in July Camp Ages 4 & up Camps are Tuesday-Friday 9:00-11:30am $100 per week (4 days) or $30 per day for Tues or Thurs Includes projects and all materials, plus snack! Art Show on Friday at 11:00am, parents & siblings invited! Register for a single day (Tuesdays- pottery or Thursdays- canvas) or for our 4 day week. Each week s projects, snacks, games and crafts will go along with the theme of that week. Week-long campers will get to show off their art work at Friday s Art Show at 11am. 2. TWC First Friday Drum Circle

@The Warrior's Canvas & Veterans Art Center

July 7th. The Warriors Canvas invites the JC Community Drum Circle to form up in front of The Warriors Canvas for First Friday Downtown from 7 PM to 9 PM. This will be in the street. Come down and beat a drum, dance, Hoop or just chill out. I have already talked with the Hoopers and they are up for it. Now let s see if we can bring a beat for them. TWC is going to have to look at how many chairs we have. We are looking at having 10 - 12 fold up chairs available. TWC is 2 doors down from Nelson s, in the same block as Hands-On Museum. Main Street will be closed off at 5:30 PM. If needed, you can drop off your equipment at TWC then find a parking spot. If it runs as usual, I should be there at around 5:15 - 5:30 to allow for the drop off. If there are any questions, please ask on this post and I will try to answer them.

Join us for one of the most fun running events in the South. The day kicks off with the Crazy 8s Expo from 3pm-9pm. Visit lots of great local races, regional & national vendors with running and speciality items. (Inside the small gym at Dobyns Bennett High School) 6:58pm-Little 8s Youth Runs (inside J. Fred Johnson Stadium) 7:58pm-Almost Crazy 3k run walk. All registered participants will receive an official time and a soft tech great performance shirt. (starts on Ft. Henry Drive) 8:58pm-Crazy 8s 8k . Run the beautiful candle lit streets of Kingsport while you are cheered on by thousands. All registered participants receive an official time, the first 2500 finishers receive a finish medal and a great soft tech performance shirt. Finish under the lights and on the jumbo tron inside J. Fred Johnson Stadium. BRAND NEW THIS YEAR-Totally Crazy competition. Finish both the 3k & 8k and receive a Totally Crazy medal. Stay tuned for more CRAZY announcements and plans for 2017.

Lyrics on the Lawn 2017 Summer Concert Series begins Thursday, July 6 at 7:00 pm. The FREE concert will be held on the lawn of the Dickson-Williams Mansion in the heart of downtown Greeneville, Tennessee. The concerts take place each Thursday evening in July. The opening act will begin at 7 with intermission scheduled for 7:45 and the headliner takes the stage at 8.

You don t have to be a paleontologist to find fossils. Identifying them is a different story. Gray Fossil Site & Museum wants to assist the public in identifying their own finds by hosting Fossil Identification Night on Tuesday, June 27, from 4-6 p.m. Bring any kind of rock, fossil, artifact, or mineral to the event, and scientistst at the museum will provide space for the study of these finds. There will be an archarologist, paleontologist, and geologist on site. Fossil ID Night is free and open to the public but does not include admission to exhibits. The museum is open 9 a.m. 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, and Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. It is located 1.8 miles off Exit 13 on Interstate 26.
