It s time to get out and about and see what s fresh at our first ever Spring Market! Vendors: LuLaRoe, Papparazzi, Thirty-one, Lots of unique handmade items perfect for mother s day and graduation. Customers loved our Christmas Crafts Market so much, we decided to add a spring market. Admission is just $5 with all proceeds going to Meals on Wheels-Washington County. 3. Hike The Hill 5K + 3K

The inaugural Hike the Hill, sponsored by Johnston Memorial Hospital, will coincide with the month-long 25th anniversary celebration of William King Museum of Art s founding. Part of a series of events running from the end of March through April, HTH is an opportunity for WKMA to engage the active-lifestyle community in Abingdon and the broader Tri Cities region. Prizes will be awarded in men s and women s divisions for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the 5K hill loop run, to start at 1 p.m. WKMA resident sculpture Lynn Price is also creating one-of-a-kind clay award medals for 5K winners. A non-competitive 3K run walk will begin at 2 p.m. for all ages. Entree fee for the competitive 5K is $25 (for those who preregister online by March 31) or $35 (register at WKMA the day of the event), and $15 for the 3K. Preregister online now at https: www.athlinks.com event hike-the-hill-5k-run-3k-walk-196361 Participants will receive a HTH tee shirt, car decal, bottled water to hydrate, and healthy snacks from local business partners, and will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a wide assortment of prizes. Local health organizations, clubs, and businesses will set up information tables to promote their health-related products and services. We will also have a DJ and food truck. Event Schedule: 11 a.m. registration check-in for 5K begins, food truck open 12:30 registration check-in for 5K ends, registration check-in for 3K walk run begins 12:50 welcome, sponsor recognition 1 p.m. 5K start 1:30 registration check-in for 3K ends 2 p.m. 5K winners announced prizes awarded, 3K starts 2:30 raffle ticket prizes awarded

Explore your fitness abilities with the Deerslayer Obstacle Course Race! We will have 3.2 miles of mixed terrain, paved unpaved areas over hilly forested areas and open fields. Tire flip, Monkey bars, Multi-walls, Bucket Brigade, Rope Climb, Balance Beam and at least 14 more. Reg. deadlines and Entry Fees: Fees are Non-refundable. Jan. 1-31-For Fun $45 person, Competitive $50 person Feb 1-28-For Fun $50 person, Competitive $55 person March 1-30-For Fun $55 person, Compettive $60 person. First Responders Discount: $5 good until March 1, 2017. All racers receive an Event T-shirt and medal Racers Competitive and For Fun must be 15 years of age or older. Proof of age required at Packet Pickup and Race Day Sign-In. All waivers, including parental consent, must be signed prior to race. The Women s Chorale, conducted by Dr. Noah DeLong, will present an exciting and varied program of choral music. The highlight of the concert will be a short cantata by Italian-American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco titled Naomi and Ruth, featuring Erin Raines ( 13) on piano and senior Riley Prickett as the soprano soloist. The concert also will include a guest performance by cello instructor Cherylonda Fitzgerald.
