The July edition of the Capitol Theatre Bluegrass Revival series features Dreamcatcher. Dreamcatcher was formed in early summer of 2015 by Troy Boone and Aaron Foster. Upon the release of Troy s debut CD First Impressions, Troy and Aaron decided to create a project that fulfilled their musical desires. Hence, Dreamcatcher was born. Dreamcatcher members today include Max Etling, Aaron Foster, Jordan Roberson, Brady Wallen, and Ben Watlington. Be sure to catch this group of outstanding young musicians. Join us for week 4 of KAS Day Camp! Every day kids will complete a craft, participate in one of the daily kids classes, have outside play time, eat packed lunch, and swim!! Kids will stay active and have lots of fun! Cost is $100 for members for 1 child and $80 for each additional sibling. Cost is $120 for non-members for 1 child and $100 for each additional sibling. Spots are starting to fill up, so sign up soon! A $25 non-refundable deposit per child is due at the time of sign up.

New to ArtCurious for the Summer... Kid s clay classes. Low commitment. Take one class. Make a cool piece of pottery. Love it. Repeat. OR just pick a project and participate in that class! Starting with a juice cup the first week, then a ice cream snack bowl the next week, then a breakfast plate the next week, then a mini-planter. Then we start the cycle again. Make one for yourself, make another for a friend. June 27 is a breakfast plate. $40 per class includes instruction, supplies and 1 finished pottery piece. Kids under 7 must have an adult stay with them, please. As part of the Abingdon All-American Independence Day Extravaganza! Steady Rollin Bob Margolin & The Nighthawks bring the Blues to Red, White & Blue on July 1st, in downtown Abingdon at the Abingdon Market Pavilion. This event is a collaboration between Abingdon Music Experience, Parks & Recreation & Abingdon Main Street. The day s festivities will begin celebrating Abingdon s rich Revolutionary War history, with living historians & the Fife & Drum Corp on site. Activities include a Block Party with a foam pit and DJ, kid s crafts sponsored by Paper Moon Studio, antique tractors & fire trucks, and food trucks. The evening will end with live music beginning at 6, and a firework finale visible from the pavilion at 9:15pm. Steady Rollin Bob Margolin 6:00-7:00pm Boston native BOB MARGOLIN was born in 1949. Inspired by Chuck Berry, he started playing guitar at age 15 and immediately started performing in local rock and blues bands. Margolin was hired by Muddy Waters in 1973. Muddy s band toured the world and jammed with many great blues and rock musicians, but the biggest thrill was playing Muddy s Blues with him. Muddy brought Margolin with him to special shows and recordings, when he sometimes didn t use his whole band, to give him a familiar sound when working with other musicians. In 1975, they recorded Grammy Award-winning Muddy Waters Woodstock Album , Muddy s last for Chess Records, which featured Paul Butterfield, and Levon Helm and Garth Hudson from The Band. In 76, Muddy brought Margolin with him to San Francisco to perform at The Band s Last Waltz concert. Martin Scorcese filmed the concert for the classic film. As it happened, only one camera was operating during our performance, zooming in or out, and since I was standing right next to Muddy, I was in every shot while he sang a powerful Mannish Boy. Margolin also played on the four albums that Muddy recorded for Blue Sky Records, which were produced by Johnny Winter, and with Johnny on his Nothin But The Blues album. Three of those albums won Grammy Awards. Margolin left Muddy s band in 1980 and formed his own band. He relocated to Washington, DC then Blacksburg, Virginia eventually winding up North Carolina in 1989. All through the 80s I ran up and down the highways, mostly in Virginia and North Carolina. Lyrics on the Lawn 2017 Summer Concert Series begins Thursday, July 6 at 7:00 pm. The FREE concert will be held on the lawn of the Dickson-Williams Mansion in the heart of downtown Greeneville, Tennessee. The concerts take place each Thursday evening in July. The opening act will begin at 7 with intermission scheduled for 7:45 and the headliner takes the stage at 8.

For the July PEAK Around Town, High Voltage will be serving craft beer, cider, and soda, as well as sharing boards to snack on. There will be yard games, including cornhole and giant Jenga.
