2. Hike The Hill 5K + 3K

The inaugural Hike the Hill, sponsored by Johnston Memorial Hospital, will coincide with the month-long 25th anniversary celebration of William King Museum of Art s founding. Part of a series of events running from the end of March through April, HTH is an opportunity for WKMA to engage the active-lifestyle community in Abingdon and the broader Tri Cities region. Prizes will be awarded in men s and women s divisions for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the 5K hill loop run, to start at 1 p.m. WKMA resident sculpture Lynn Price is also creating one-of-a-kind clay award medals for 5K winners. A non-competitive 3K run walk will begin at 2 p.m. for all ages. Entree fee for the competitive 5K is $25 (for those who preregister online by March 31) or $35 (register at WKMA the day of the event), and $15 for the 3K. Preregister online now at https: www.athlinks.com event hike-the-hill-5k-run-3k-walk-196361 Participants will receive a HTH tee shirt, car decal, bottled water to hydrate, and healthy snacks from local business partners, and will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a wide assortment of prizes. Local health organizations, clubs, and businesses will set up information tables to promote their health-related products and services. We will also have a DJ and food truck. Event Schedule: 11 a.m. registration check-in for 5K begins, food truck open 12:30 registration check-in for 5K ends, registration check-in for 3K walk run begins 12:50 welcome, sponsor recognition 1 p.m. 5K start 1:30 registration check-in for 3K ends 2 p.m. 5K winners announced prizes awarded, 3K starts 2:30 raffle ticket prizes awarded

3. Hippity Hop MOD (march Of Dimes) Run!

Jump around! Jump up, jump up and get down! Jump! Jump Around, House of Pain Put a little bounce in your step - or run - as you join us for the first inflatable 5k in this area! Run, walk, bounce, and slide your way through 3.1 miles of inflatable obstacle fun! All procedes benefit March of Dimes! Pre-registred participants are guarenteed a t-shirt! This is all about the fun - not the run - so run will not be timed! All finishers will receive finisher swag! Kids 4 years and up will need to be registered to run and will receive a shirt kids 3 and under do not need to register, but will not receive a shirt. Due to this being an obstacle course run, there are no strollers permitted on the course Absolutely NO trail shoes, turf shoes, cleats, steel toe shoes, or any other shoes that could puncture the inflatables! Packet pick-up and race day registration opens at 3:00. Run begins at 4:30! Vendors will be set up in the main building and open to the public. Vendor mall will open at 3:00.

No past clay experience required! I work with all experience levels to help you get the most out of my classes as you can! This is a 4-week class, meeting once a week on Wednesdays, 10am-1pm. We will make 3 projects: One fun, playful creation and two functional itmes for your kitchen or home. The first 3 classes we will be handbuilding and the last class we will glazing your creations. Join us for the 5th annual Bristol Half & Half marathon and 2 person relay. Run 2 great states for one great cause. The race starts at Virginia High School and showcases some of Bristol VA TN history and beautiful neighborhoods. You ll finish at historic Stone Castle. The 2 person relay is 7 miles and 6.1 miles. Proceeds benefit American Cancer Society. All half marathon and relay team finishers receive a great finishers medal. Kick off your spring racing season with a great half marathon. Be like the Geico and run in Tenniginia or Virginessee :)
