Flexibility For Aerialists Workshop

Johnson City Circus Arts
This workshop will increase your flexibility and your strength. We will work on flexibility of the whole body, targeting the areas of shoulders, hips (yes, this means working towards splits), the back, and how your body moves through space. These movements will all be performed with a high regard to safety. This workshop is suitable for ALL level and ALL ages. Come bend with me! $30 Sign up online by January 10th here: http://www.NightOwlCircusArts.com Rhianna Smith completed the BA in Theatre Arts at Hollins University in 2004 and the MFA in Physical Theatre at Accademia dell'Arte in 2015. Rhianna's professional acting experience includes shows with Tecumseh! Outdoor Drama, Prairie Fire Children's Theatre, the Public Theatre, Marin Shakespeare Company, and three years working as a tour actor/educator for National Theatre for Children. Most recently, she has performed as a singing clown with Teatro C'art in Italy and as part of an ensemble company with Familie Floz in Germany. Rhianna holds Pilates Mat and Apparatus Instructor Certification and has also trained extensively in Aerial Silks practice and performance with Craig Lewis, Andrew Hartnagel, Laura Witwer, and Heather Hammond. In addition, Rhianna completed a two-month Circus Intensive at Scuola di Circo FLIC in Italy, where she received training in Contortion Stretching from Elena Timpanaro and training in Aerial Silks, Trapeze, and Lyra from Elia Aymon and Stevie Boyd.
