CLASS: Beginning January 12th, the Intro to WingTsun® KungFu class will occur weekly on Thursdays at 5:30-6:45pm. This Intro to WingTsun® class is specifically for new students and will focus on the first form, Siu Nim Tau, and its applications. Wing Tsun is an ancient Chinese system of self-defense in its most uncompromising form. This martial art was created by the Abbess of the Henan Shaolin Monastery, Ng Mui, for another woman, Yim Wing Chun, approximately 300 years ago, and it is named after her first student. Muscle power and physical conditioning are NOT prerequisites for training as Wing Tsun skills are built on the students' present abilities. WingTsun® students command a highly effective, weaponless method of defending themselves as they learn to absorb an attacker's energy, compound it with their own power, and direct it back against the attacker.
