The pools have gone to the dogs! Our 4th Annual Drool Paw-ty is October 7, 2017!! Bring your furry friends to the Outdoor Water Park to enjoy the water! Entry is $5 per dog with a limit of 2 dogs per person. Humans are not allowed to swim during the Drool Paw-ty, and all handlers must be 18 years or older. Written proof or a receipt from a veterinarian showing current Rabies, Parvo, Bordatella and Distemper vaccines is required for entry (a dog tag is not sufficient). You may register ahead of time at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation will be having a DOGGY SPLASH BASH at the Riverview Splash Pad on Oct 7th from 11:30-3:30...the doggies get the splash pad all to themselves!!!...I need all the vendors I can get...all those who attended FURFEST 2017 are encouraged to come as well as other vendors...YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ANIMAL RELATED!!!...there is no set up fee and any money you make will be yours!...I have already lined up a food truck for this event!!!...please let me know ASAP if you would like to participate...we have a huge field with plenty of room, so let everyone know that might be interested!!!...PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE!!!...THANKS!!!

Who are the heroes of the Reformation? In this free presentation, Dr. Martin Dotterweich, professor of history at King University, Bristol, Tennessee, will focus on the importance of well-known individuals like Martin Luther, Huldrych Zwingli, and Thomas Cranmer. The lecture will examine how these different types of person contributed to the movement the importance of martyrs and their stories and will celebrate the heroism of ordinary believers who through their devotion and fidelity cemented the Reformation in homes and villages. A Q&A session and reception will follow the presentation.
