Class will be $30 cash & will last for 2 to 3 hours. You will make chocolate covered cherries, turtles, butterscotch peanuts, peanut butter cups, caramels, peppermint patties, and raspberry bonbons. You will take all your goodies with you. All supplies are provided! We will be having our first candy class on Saturday, October 7th @ 11am. (Bring baby wipes or handy wipes or something to wipe your hands on.) You will be confirmed once you come by the shop and pay your $30 cash registration fee. The first 12 paid are confirmed. Space is limited so hurry and reserve your spot! Come learn how to make candy for your family and friends. It s so much fun to take with a friend or another family member. Even if you ve taken the class before, it s great to have a refresher course and get you in the mood to make your holiday goodies. The memories that you share making candies over the holidays will be treasured over your lifetime! After class that day you will receive a 10% discount on all candy making supplies, including chocolate, if you pay by cash!

Directed by: Jonathan Marin One of literature s most enduring classics is brought vividly to the stage in this exciting adventure of Mowgli, the Indian boy, raised by caring wolves, befriended by Bagheera, the Panther, and Baloo, the Bear, and threatened by Shere Kahn, the evil tiger. Also present are an array of other jungle creatures who inhabit this action-filled play. Interspersed with the Mowgli tale is the equally intriguing story of a young Rudyard Kipling and the people both good and otherwise who parallel many of the animal characters he created. Filled with excitement and humor, the play highlights the struggle of good versus evil, the worth of friendship, and the importance of loyalty and other values required for surviving the law of the jungle. Most roles are gender flexible, except Mowgli, Shere Khan, Tabaqui, Akela, Baloo and Mother Wolf, old and young woman. Join the chase full of mystery, suspense, deceit and brilliant deductions as Victorian England is smashed together with the Wild West in a case that only Sherlock Holmes can unravel. Download study guide. Director s Notes When Arthur Conan Doyle created Sherlock Holmes, the world was in desperate need of him. The Industrial Revolution had been grinding away long enough for us to see that it had its consequences: children were suffering in terrible working conditions, soot and smog blocked out the sun for months on end, organized crime was blossoming underneath all of that darkness... People needed someone who could look through the smog and see that things were still &lsquo elementary&rsquo if you knew which things to look at and which to ignore. Sherlock was the perfect human machine&mdash his brain was the celebration of all we had learned from the mechanization of the world, and simultaneously, the antidote to it. Consequently, people were mad for him then, and we are still mad for him today. Like the Victorians, we see how fast the world is moving, how exponentially more complicated things feel, and how technology, for all its wonders, can sometimes feel just beyond our ability to control it. We continue to read these books and to crave new Sherlock stories on our movie and TV screens &ndash there&rsquo s even a time honored tradition of asserting that he actually lived. The Sherlock museum in London at 221B Baker Street is set up to look like he really lived there, down to the tiniest detail. (Google it and you can take a wonderful 3D tour of the premises.) People celebrate his birthday. Stories and fan lit often feature actual historical characters that would have lived at the same time he did. Our play today lives in that vein. In 1887, Buffalo Bill and his Wild West Show truly appeared in London.
