The Kingsport Parks and Recreation will be having a DOGGY SPLASH BASH at the Riverview Splash Pad on Oct 7th from 11:30-3:30...the doggies get the splash pad all to themselves!!!...I need all the vendors I can get...all those who attended FURFEST 2017 are encouraged to come as well as other vendors...YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE ANIMAL RELATED!!!...there is no set up fee and any money you make will be yours!...I have already lined up a food truck for this event!!!...please let me know ASAP if you would like to participate...we have a huge field with plenty of room, so let everyone know that might be interested!!!...PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE!!!...THANKS!!!

Drop off your kids for a fall afternoon of fun! Kids will paint pumpkins, decorate sugar cookies, find Halloween painted rocks, and swim in the indoor pool. Cost is $20 for 1 child and $15 for each additional sibling for members. Cost is $25 for 1 child and $20 for each additional sibling for non-members. Please note that children should eat lunch before attending and bring their swimsuits.

They take best friends, Bruce and Claire Hollingsworth, on a tour followed by celebratory beers around a campfire. Ian reveals the woods are supposedly haunted by a pitchfork-wielding ghost bent on revenge. When a childhood game leads to the discovery of a grisly murder, the couples investigate. Is the ghost responsible &ndash or are other forces at work? Relationships shatter as friends try to solve the mystery before it&rsquo s too late. Director s Notes From the first campfire, people have been telling scary stories. Stories that that make us huddle up a little closer as we realize how vulnerable we really are. So then what is it about scary stories that we love so much? Some psychologists argue that fear and pleasure are closely related&mdash they even have the same physiological response. Others claim that &ldquo self-scaring&rdquo is a way to unite us, to promote a sense of togetherness and power. Many believe that these tales are cautionary in order to help us avoid dangerous situations and bad behavior. I always think of it as a roller coaster ride&mdash that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach as the roller coaster creeps upward, and then the adrenaline rush as you fall off the cliff. Think about the way your body reacts when you are being told a scary story: you lean forward, not wanting to miss a detail. You allow yourself to be put under the spell of the story, until the big scare comes where you jump back and, finally, burst into laughter! And that&rsquo s the moment, I think, that makes us love scary stories. That feeling of release and relief when we realize we&rsquo ve lived through it, and of course, we&rsquo re going to make it out alive. Class will be $30 cash & will last for 2 to 3 hours. You will make chocolate covered cherries, turtles, butterscotch peanuts, peanut butter cups, caramels, peppermint patties, and raspberry bonbons. You will take all your goodies with you. All supplies are provided! We will be having our first candy class on Saturday, October 7th @ 11am. (Bring baby wipes or handy wipes or something to wipe your hands on.) You will be confirmed once you come by the shop and pay your $30 cash registration fee. The first 12 paid are confirmed. Space is limited so hurry and reserve your spot! Come learn how to make candy for your family and friends. It s so much fun to take with a friend or another family member. Even if you ve taken the class before, it s great to have a refresher course and get you in the mood to make your holiday goodies. The event is FREE and open to the public. Proceeds from beer sales and tips that night will go directly to the new sign.
