Capitol Theatre
Bette Davis and Joan Crawford ignite the Capitol's Big Screen in the infamous "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" The Capitol Theater of Downtown Greeneville, Tennessee continues their classic film series with 1962's What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? A gothic thriller that stars two of the biggest names to ever come out of Hollywood, Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Directed by Robert Aldrich (The Dirty Dozen, Kiss Me Deadly) What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? caused a sensation upon its release, and the production of the film served as backdrop for the recent TV series Feud: Bette and Joan. Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? tells the story of the Hudson sisters, one a child star in vaudeville, Baby Jane Hudson, the other that became a motion picture star, Blanche Hudson, and their bitter rivalry. After an accident, Baby Jane is left to take care of her invalid sister, something that fills her with even more resentment for her sister on top of what she already had. What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? was a surprise hit when it was released in 1962, creating a new wave of career resurgence for it's stars, and kicking off a brief craze...
